Care Navigation

Our receptionists have been trained to ask questions in order to navigate you to the most appropriate service.

When booking appointments, the receptionist will ask you about the nature of your problem in order to ensure everyone gets the most appropriate appointment with the most appropriate clinician. Receptionists may direct you to another service such as Pharmacy First (pharmacy based service for minor illnesses), local walk-in centre, or may offer to book you an appointment with an allied healthcare proffesional such as a First Contact Physiotherapist, Clinical Pharmacist, Practice Nurse, Healthcare Assistant or Physician's Assosiate.

Please be patient with our members of staff so they help you.

Home visits

Home visits are for patients who are too ill to attend the Surgery. Calls for home visits should be made between 8.45am and 10am.

A doctor or nurse may phone you back as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice, or that it would be more appropriate to send a nurse, or indeed arrange a hospital attendance.

House visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.

Evening and weekend appointments

All of our patients have access to evening (Monday - Friday) and weekend appointments at one of our local HUB practices.

The GP you will see, with your consent, will have access to your medical record.

You can book appointments Out of Hours by calling Barnet Federated GPs: 0203 948 6809 Monday-Friday 6:30pm-8pm and Saturday & Sunday 8am-8pm

Alternatively, you can book via our reception team during normal opening times.
